Detroit Roller Derby's Motor City Disassembly Line Prepares for International Match Up!

Grab your mothers and head to Detroit's historic Masonic Temple on Saturday, May 12th for Motor City Disassembly Line's first home game of the season. Some of the toughest moms around will be taking the track against the Border City Brawlers. Windsor's only flat track roller derby league will be crossing the bridge for this international match-up that's guaranteed to have you on the edge of your seats.

Detroit Men's Roller Derby will warm up the crowd when they face off against the hard hitting Cincinnati Battering Rams. If you've never seen a men's game you do not want to miss this! The action will be fast, ferocious and fearless.

And the drill hall will be rocking during the big event! We are happy to announce the talented musicians from the Detroit School of Rock and Pop will be performing during both half times.

Doors open at 5pm on Saturday, May 12th. The first whistle blows at 6pm.Tickets are available right now at www.brownpapertickets.com. They are $15 in advance and $18 at the door the day of the double header. Kids 12 and under are free with a paying adult.

The Masonic Temple is located at 500 Temple Street in Detroit. There is plenty of parking on site. The after party will be held at McShane's Pub and Whiskey Bar at 1460 Michigan Avenue.

The D-Funk Allstars Remain Champs And Keep Olive For Another Year!

It was standing room only in the historic Masonic Temple on Saturday night as Detroit Roller Derby cemented its future and celebrated its past.

The D-Funk Allstars took on the Devil's Night Dames in the Season 13 Championship game. The skaters didn't hold back. The Devil's Night Dames were hoping to clinch a Championship for the first time in the team's history. While the D-Funk Allstars wanted to hold onto Olive for the second year in a row. In the end, D-Funk's defense and jamming rotation was just too hard to beat. The final score was an overwhelming 297 to 184.

Detroit Roller Derby also welcomed back some of its alumni skaters for a first ever exhibition game. For the special occasion, the skaters represented two of the leagues' original teams: The Motown Hit Squad and the KillPatricks. The Hit Squad proved its never too late to return to your roots with a 116 to 35 victory.

Dozens of Detroit Roller Derby's alumni were also recognized on Saturday night for their commitment to the league over the years. They were inducted into the "Block and Roll Hall of Fame" and the numbers of several skaters were retired during the big event.

All good things must come to an end but not before one heck of a fight! Detroit Roller Derby's Season 13 Championship game is just days away and it's going to be a ferocious face off! It's set for Saturday, April 14th at the Masonic Temple in Detroit.

No one holds back when Olive is on the line! The D-Funk Allstars are ready to defend their title while the Devil's Night Dames are hoping to clinch the first one ever in their team's history. No matter who reigns supreme, there will no doubt be hard hits and non stop action. The drill hall will be echoing from all the excitement!

But first, some of your favorite skaters will return to the Masonic to take part in a special alumni game. This is an old school exhibition that you do not want to miss! It may have been a while since many of them have skated in a bout but they are more than ready to battle it out and prove they've still got it!

Detroit Roller Derby will also be collecting non perishable items for Gleaners Community Food Bank. The organization has been feeding the area homeless for over 40 years.

Hi Detroit Roller Derby friends, family and fans!

Falll is upon us and that means it’s time once again to head to the Masonic Temple to cheer on your favorite Detroit Roller Derby skaters. This year marks “Season 13” and the league has a lot of fun things planned including a Sunday matinee double header for the first game.

The Devil's Night Dames will take on the Grand Prix Madonnas in the first home season game. It will be followed by a repeat of the Championship bout when the Detroit Pistoffs and the reigning champs, the DFunk Allstars, face each other once again.

The doors to the Masonic Temple will open at noon on Sunday, November 19th

The hard hitting action will begin at 1pm. Bring the entire family! There will be plenty of activities for the kids and a Bloody Mary bar for the adults.
