Thank you for coming out and celebrating Mother's Day with us last weekend! Hundreds of people packed the Masonic Temple on Saturday night to watch Motor City Disassembly Line's season opener! It was an international face off with our derby sisters across the bridge. There were plenty of hard hits during the match up with Windsor's Border City Brawlers. The crowd even got to see a couple of apex jumps. MCDL took the win with an impressive 347 to 116 victory.

Detroit Mens Roller Derby opened the night's action with a resounding win over the Cincinnati Battering Rams. Riot's jammers were too tough to catch and their walls proved to be inpenetrable. They outscored Cincinnati by more than 200 points. The final in that game was 291 to 70.

We also want to send a big shout out to the Detroit School of Rock and Pop which performed during both half times. They certainly had the crowd moving, dancing and singing along!

If you missed out on last week's action, don't worry another game is just around the corner. Our next double header is set for Saturday, June 16th when Detroit Roller Derby's Allstars A & B play Tampa A & B teams. It will be held at the Taylor Sportsplex located at 13333 Telegraph Road in Taylor. The first whistle blows at 6pm.
