The Detroit Derby Girls are currently recruiting 3-5 referees and 7-9 support staff - also known as the Stat Army. Wanna tell us girls what to do, or keep track of how were doing it? Then join us! We practice every Monday and Wednesday night in Livonia from 8 - 10:15 PM.

REFEREES:

Must be at least 18, any gender, and you need to be able, or willing to learn, to roller skate. If you roller blade the transition will be easy!

Referees are an important piece of the derby pie. Regular, consistent attendance at practice is a must so that you can learn the rules and learn how to call us naughty skaters on them. You will be guided by our head ref - Iggy Slop.

Refs for Detroit also help run practice drills under the direction of Coach Slyde, and learn how to set up a flat track derby track. The most committed refs may be able to become certified to ref on a national level.

STAT ARMY:

Our stats- scores, penalties, etc. - are going to be tracked on a national level! We need dedicated people that can count as fast as we can skate!

Must be 18, any gender. This is not a skating position! You need to be able to attend practices the first and last week of every month, plus a day or two in between for more one-on-one training by the head of the stat army - General AK- 40oz.
